Ankara Denim dress tutorial

As a fashion blogger am always excited with mix and match exotic fabric, playing with textures and designs .

Welcome to my channel! I loved this particular denim ankara combo dress and a customer ordered it so while making it I thought to myself, why not do a video and share this concept with fellow fashion lovers…so here you have it!

So for this size 12/14 denim dress tutorial  i used 2.5m of denim material , 1.5 yards Africanprints fabric and cut outs flower pattern from a colourful Ankara print.

The original designs had beading done on it but I chose not to do beading on mine.

For this size I used  the following measurements: shoulder 16,bust  is 38, waist 34, hip.43, round sleeve 13, long sleeve 14, dress length 40. To make the back longer I added 10 inches  to the centre back piece.
To make the bottom of the dress fuller I added 6 inches to the hip.

For the  shirt dress button allowance I added 1.5 inches then extra 1 inch to compensate for  the overlap which reduces the size measurements.
